sustainability
Today, one of the main global concerns is the wellbeing of the planet. Customers, businesses, investors and the general public are demanding action from companies to prevent negative impact and harms linked to their business operations.
Therefore, the United Nations have come up with Sustainable Development Goals to build a green and inclusive world by 2030. We are proud to say that Denmark is leading the way towards a greener future with ambitious goals to reduce CO2 emissions by 70% in 2030. In 2019, Copenhagen has been repeatedly called the greenest city in the world. This status was achieved partly due to city’s plan of becoming carbon-neutral by year 2025, but also due to many other initiatives, such as consumption of organic foods, car to bicycle rations, and green rooftops.
Despite many incentives, we still have a long way to go. We need to act now. There is only a decade to go before we reach 2030 and we cannot wait for new and not yet invented solutions and technologies – and we do not have to. We have the possibilities now. We need to act on them.
Klein Nordic is honoured to contribute to the greener future by giving a new life to disused, functional IT infrastructure. By purchasing back disused data centre equipment form organizations, we prevent usable equipment from ending up as waste before its full potential is utilized. We also ensure that equipment that has reached “ end-of-life” is responsibly destructed. This initiative fights against the unnecessary depletion of natural resources, precious metal mining, and unethical labour.
Our mission is to encourage and empower companies to contribute to increasing the sustainability of the global IT industry.
